The 82nd Airborne is celebrating its centennial year. It was established in August 1917, shorty after the U.S. entered into World War I. Both Walt and his brother Roy O. Disney served in World War I.

“As a company founded by two brothers who served their nation in uniform during World War I, Disney has always had a strong connection to the armed services and looks for ways to show our support of active-duty military, veterans and their families,” Dan Cockerell, vice president of Magic Kingdom Park, said.

Following the ceremony, the 82nd Airborne Division completed a unit march down Main Street, U.S.A.  (More photos below the video)
