4 more Magic Kingdom restaurants will start serving alcohol at Disney World

The Magic Kingdom will expand its sale of alcoholic beverages starting this week.

The Magic Kingdom has traditionally been the one park at Disney World where alcohol was not

served. The reason was to keep the family atmosphere at the park. All other parks at Disney World served alcohol. It wasn't until 2012 with the opening of the Be Our Guest Restaurant that alcohol started to be served during dinner.

Now, according to the Orlando Sentinel:
  • Tony’s Town Square Restaurant will offer wines and beers.
  • Liberty Tree Tavern will serve beer, cider and wine.
  • Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen in Adventureland will serve beer and wine.
  • Cinderella’s Royal Table will serve champagne and sparkling wine.
The restaurants will start serving alcohol on Dec. 23, 2016.

Unlike the other parks there will be no to-go cups or separate bars at the location.
