Elton John will perform during ABC special on Disneyland's 60th anniversary

Elton John will perform during a special two-hour "The The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60,’ premiering in February.

The ABC special is part of the 60th anniversary celebration of the opening of Disneyland. The show ill air Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Elton John will perform “Circle of Life,” from “The Lion King,” and his new song “Wonderful Crazy Night,” from his upcoming album in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland.

Ticketing company 1iota is currently offering free tickets to those wishing to attend a taping for the special on Jan. 12 at the Disneyland. According to 1iota, those performing during the taping including Pentatonix, and "Dancing with the Stars" dancers Derek Hough and Witney Carson.

ABC has a also announced that those watching the show at home will be able to participate using the Disney Applause app.

The app will sync directly to the broadcast’s major musical segments, displaying light shows and original content on  phones. In addition, using the Jaunt VR app, fans will join in the celebration as they are transported to Sleeping Beauty Castle for the musical superstar’s concert and to Main Street, U.S.A. for a special dance routine. A 360-degree view of the VR elements will also be available on ABC.com.
