New limited-edition t-shirts celebrate two classic Disney rides

To mark the 50th anniversary of it's a small world and Carousel of Progress, Disney is selling limited-edition t-shirts based on vintage posters for the two rides.

Both rides debuted 50 years ago this week at the 1964 New York World's Fair. Two years later, it's a small world moved to Disneyland in California. It was followed a year later by Carousel of Progress. which ran at Disneyland until 1973. It later moved to Disney World in Florida.

The limited-edition shirts are $21.95 for kids' sizes and $24.95 for adults, or two for $40 if you mix-and match. They are available to order online only from April 22-27. Delivery should take 6-8 weeks.

The t-shirts are part of a series inspired by "the overwhelmingly positive responses" to the poster art calendars released for 2014 and the "Poster Art of Disney Parks" hardcover book, according to the Disney Blog.

So far, the series has included Space Mountain and the Disneyland railroad. As the year unfolds, look for designs based on attraction posters for Dumbo, the Country Bear Jamboree, the Enchanted Tiki Room -- and more.
