Designers such as Naeem Khan, Badgley Mischka and Adrienne Landau, as well as Raven Kauffman, Urban Decay and Be&D are creating exclusive jewelry, fashion, beauty products and home accessories to tie in to the movie. (Can't wait to see those ruby red shoes.)
Disney is partnering with HSN (Home Shopping Network) on this project. The products will all be available for sale during a special live 48-hour event on on March 1 and 2.
HSN designers created a curated assortment of exclusive products reflecting the spirit of the film, according to a new release from HSN. "The apparel, accessories, jewelry and beauty pieces reflect the essence of the movie's three, witches Theodora, Evanora and Glinda, drawing inspiration from their sense of style, personality and unique color palettes. The home and culinary items mirror the discovery the viewer feels while traveling through the world of Oz," the release states.
The movie, directed by Sam Ramie, stars James Franco as the Wizard, Mila Kunis (Theodora), Rachel Weisz (Evanora) and Michelle Williams (Glinda). The screen story is by Mitchell Kapner and the screenplay is by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire. The film opens in theaters nationwide March 8 and is rated PG.
